Today team JetOWash were over in Wolverhampton carrying out a gutter repair.
We had a phone call from a distressed landlady who had a problem with her guttering on a rental property of hers in Wolverhampton, her tenant had been on the phone complaining about a leaking gutter which in turn had started to cause a damp patch on the wall and rot the wooden soffit board. Our client asked if we could visit the property to inspect the guttering and supply an urgent quotation, within a 1 1/2 hour turn around, we had one of our team over to inspect the leaking gutter which led to actually be a proportion of the down pipe had fallen off. This was due to a couple of reasons - one being the bad weather we have been having over the past few days in and around Wolverhampton and the second being an inadequate repair by a previous company which didn't help the problem. With the job needing a new running outlet, down pipe, 3 off set bends and new gutter brackets being fitted, Daniel one of team members who conducted the inspection was able to temporarily repair the down pipe until we were able to locate an exact match/size for this particular square line guttering.
A quick trip to our suppliers, we had all of the gutter supplies we needed to get this guttering back to doing its job correctly. First off it was a case of removing the broken guttering and fitting the new outlet.
Once the new outlet was fitted we double checked our measurements before having to cut the 65mm down pipe to the correct size for the down pipe to the hopper and also, we had to lengthen the adjustable offset top bends to achieve the right degree needed for the down pipe to fit securely and neatly (as pictured below)
So, with the top section of the guttering all fixed we were then able to fit the down pipe itself and the extension piece into the hopper to catch the water running from the guttering.
Finally, with this all-in place it was simply a case of drilling holes into the masonry to fit the gutter clips ensuring it was safe and secure to withstand all weather conditions.
Last but not least, once the gutters on this house in Wolverhampton were all fixed, we ran a water check to double check there were no issues on any of the bends which there wasn't, so we were happy our job was completed to a high standard as always. One thing we did notice was a very slight drip/leak from one of the inline joining brackets further along the run. Once we inspected the bracket it was a simple case of the rubber seal had perished, as a gesture of goodwill Daniel replaced the seal for the customer free of charge while we were there.
ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER FOR TEAM JETOWASH.
