Driveway Cleaning Cannock
So this week we were back over in Cannock cleaning a dirty block paving driveway.
We throught we would run you through the steps on how we deep cleaned this customer driveway. Stage 1: Flat Surface Cleaning First off we cleaned the driveway using our flat surface cleaner to remove the majority of grime and weeds/moss from in between the paving joints. Stage 2: First Rinse Down It was then time to give the drive a quick rinse down so we could see more clearly the edging which the floor cleaner wasn't able to get to. Stage 3: Cutting in the Edges Once we had cleaned down the driveway with floor cleaner and rinsed down it was then time to cut in the edges using our turbo nozzle and lance Once the edges had been cut in we also gave the driveway a quick clean using the turbo nozzle to remove any stubborn weeds which the floor cleaner hadn't quite managed to remove.. Stage 4: Quick Rinse Down k Using the turbo nozzle and lance is a messy job so another rinse down of all the surrounding areas was required to shift any much it had created. Stage 5: Chemical Treatment Now the area is fully cleaned it was time to treat the block paving with a treatment to ensure any growth was killed and removed. This is left on for around 15 minutes before being rinsed off. Stage 6: Final Rinse Down The final stage of the driveway cleaning is a full rinse down ensuring all the treatment has been removed along with any last bits of debris. Stage 7: Re-Sand The re-sand has to be completed on a separate day du to the driveway needing time to completely dry out before the sanding can be complete. One of our recent project was to undertake a render clean on these beautiful apartments over in Wolverhampton. After speaking with the render manufacturer who had stated the best way to clean the render the property management company new exactly what they wanted and how they wanted the job to be undertaken. After our first initial phone call with the property management company we fully explained our methods of cleaning render and it was exactly what they were looking for. We arranged a site visit to view the severity of the soiling on the render whilst also carry out a demonstration clean for the client to show exactly the results our render leaning service is able to achieve. After the sample clean had been carried out the client and the tenants of the apartments were thrilled with the results and couldn't wait to get our company onboard to under the full buildings render clean. The chosen method of cleaning this render was using a biocide soft wash treatment, this is applied via a specialist low pressure soft wash system to ensure no damage is caused to the delicate render surface. We had a call from a property management company who had a problem with one of their property’s guttering.
They stated the issue was there was no access to rear or side of the property and the build was 4 stories high, they had had several companies visit the site stating that they are unable to clear the guttering due to the access. As you can see in the photo below the building backed onto a river and there were just under 1.5m of room between the building and the river making it impossible to access via a MEWP or portable scaffolding tower.
The cost to fully scaffold the rear of the building would have gone into the thousands but luckily enough we had a solution.
After carrying out a site visit and providing a set of RAMS the property management company were happy to go ahead and have the work under taken. Using our carbon fibre 40ft gutter cleaning poles, wireless inspection camera and 3000w gutter vacuum we were able to clear the gutters with ease. Below is a short video of us in action tackling these hard to reach gutters.
We had many pedestrians stopping to watch us in action and many people complement on what a fabulous bit of kit the gutter vacuum system was and how they couldn’t believe it was able to clear gutters at such height.

RAF Cosford Paving Cleaning After carrying out a site visit and undertaking all of the usual Health and Safety procedures (Risk Assessment, Method Statement, COSHH Assessment etc) it was time for us to start this exciting project. After the first initial site visit and seeing the degree of organic soiling present we knew this site would really benefit from a deep clean and we couldn’t wait to get started on reforming the site back to its former glory. Finally, this week the team have been able to start cleaning the first stage of an ongoing project at RAF Cosford. The project is to clean the paving onsite RAF Cosford as not only is it covered in unsightly moss, algae and weeds it’s starting to become unsafe to walk on due to the build-up of algae becoming slippery once wet which is a major risk to everyone’s safety. Using the rotary floor cleaner set up with the correct nozzles and our van mounted 200 bar pressure washer the organic soiling was easily removed, a post treatment was applied for the finishing touch and to ensure all lichens (black spots) were removed/killed. As you can see from the short video below the results achieved were nothing short of fabulous. So, one of this week’s jobs was cleaning a large area of block paved area that was heavily soiled in white lichens and algae. The block paving hadn’t been cleaned in many years and was in desperate need of a deep cleanse. The first job was to get the pressure washer set up and talk the customer through the procedure to ensure minimal disturbance occurs while the work is being carried out. Once the machines were ready the team then got to work cleaning the block paving… Due to the heavy white lichen the turbo nozzle and lance was need to remove the tops off these stubborn lichens. After a few hours, the paving started to take shape and the naturally colours of the pavers started to show through. Once all the paving had been pressure washed it was then time to post treat the area to remove all the black and white lichens spores that were left, the treatment was applied, agitated then left to dwell for around 15-20 minutes to fully ensure all the lichens had fully disappeared. Once we were happy they had all been removed the treatment was then rinsed off with a lower pressure rinse nozzle. Before the clean was complete the full area and surroundings were cleaned down including all windows and walls leaving the areas free from any muck/sand debris. The paving was then left for a couple of days to dry out before the team then headed back for a second visit to re-sand the blocks for the final touch. The customer was over the moon with the results achieved and couldn’t believe just how well the paving looked once again. Take a look at the video we made showing the fantastic results achieved once again by the team at Jetowash. Is your block paving in need of a clean? Would you like a Free Quotation? The team were over at a farm in Telford cleaning 960 solar panels using our water-fed pole systems and pure water to prevent water marks once dry. The photo below shows just a small section of one of the huge buildings. Although these panels had only been installed just over 12 months they had never been cleaned. The owner of the farm had noticed a drop in there performance so new it was time for there first clean. Using our 35ft water fed pole systems and purified water it made cleaning the panels an easy task, we were able to reach all panels safely from the ground while still achieving great results as shown in the video below. The owner wasn't sure how often the panels should be cleaned, we advise solar panels to be cleaned annually to remove dust and other substances such as bird droppings that can build up over time and impact on the amount electricity generated by a module. Dust, grime & bird droppings don't need to cover the whole panel to have a negative effect, to optimise there performance its highly advised to have them cleaned at least once a year. A few days later we had had a couple of nice sunny dry days so the drive had fully dried so it was time for the team to get to work reviving the driveway for the customer. Due to the condition of the imprinted concrete and sealer a few coats of sealer along with a colour tint were needed to bring this back to its original colour.
The customers had stated that once the driveway was wet it become very slippery, so on the finally coat we applied an anti-slip additive into the sealer to prevent the driveway become slippery once wet.
As you can see from the photos the drive looks as good as new and the customer could not believe the results we achieved. Another drive clean and seal completed in Cannock with another very happy customer :)
With the season in full swing it’s been another busy week for the team at JetOWash.
One of the jobs we had to tackle this week was a block paved drive to be cleaned and re-sanded over in Cannock. The customer had a friend recommend our service to her and thought it was time she hired a professional drive cleaning company to carry out a deep clean on her block paving at her home in Cannock. One of the team visited the customer prior to the job to explain the procedure and to give a free no obligation quotation that the customer was happy with and wanted to get booked in as soon as possible.
On the day of the clean, the rain was coming down thick and fast but this didn’t stop us getting to work on reviving the driveway back to its former glory.
Once the machine was fully warmed up and ready to get to work our rotary floor cleaner was used to rip through all the moss, weeds and algae present on the driveway and did this with great success. Once the whole drive had been cleaned via the rotary floor clearer we then fully rinsed down the areas and scooped up all the much into bags ready to be taken away with us leaving the customer with no mess left at her home at all, for the finishing touch on the day all lower windows on her house were cleaned.
With the drive clean now completed it was a case of leaving the driveway to fully dry before re-visiting the property to brush kiln dried sand in to the joints block paving’s joints.
To apply the sand the driveway must be fully dry so we are able to brush the sand into the block paving smoothly with the sand getting stuck to damp patches of the paving. Re-sanding the block paving is an important part of the process as the this give the block paving its strength and competence. Without the jointing sand the paving would move and which could result in the whole drive being ruined.
So, as you can see the driveway has now been both deep cleaned and re-sanded to a very high standard and as you can image the customer was over the moon with the results we achieved.
