With summer on its way things are really getting busy for the team here at JetOWash.
We have had a very productive week with a new van added to the fleet and many big jobs completed for local property management company's while still keeping our domestic customers happy reviving their driveways, patios, roofs, guttering and render to name a few.
So the last stage of the clean was a low pressure rinse down, making sure all of the walls, fence panels and lawn was free from debris and post treat the driveway to make sure all the lichen spores were dead to try and keep the drive cleaner for longer.
With the clean complete as you can see in the photo (above on the right) it's a case of leaving the driveway to dry out for a couple of days before we return to re-sand the block paving giving it the final finishing touch. As I'm sure you will agree, the render has a very grey look making it look very grubby and unappealing which would've built up over time from a mixture of air pollution, changing weather conditions and general organic growth. This is never an issue as all render can be restored with the right expertise, knowledge and treatments. Our team didn't delay in getting the job started, with the render clean being in Stafford Town Centre it was paramount that we followed Health and Safety closely to ensure the members of public and staff were protected at all times, this allowing a smooth cleaning process. All treatments used by JetOWash are approved by the HSE. With the huge traffic in Stafford Town Centre, many of the public stopped to compliment the render clean and couldn't believe the transformation we were able to achieve, bringing this dirty looking render back to its former glory and giving it some extra kerb appeal. The aesthetic look of your home plays a massive role in the value, even though it’s your home you’ve got to remember it’s a product you are trying to sell. Let’s say you were going to buy a second hand car – The first car you went to view was spotlessly clean, as soon as you pulled up you noticed how clean it was with the paint work just been polished and the inside dash board all shiny with vacuumed carpets smelling nice and fresh, your first thoughts are the owner has looked after the car. Then the second car you go to view has all mud down the sides, with messy carpets and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for the last 5 years. WHICH CAR WOULD YOU CHOOSE???? Even though the second car could be the much better car mechanically you would be much more inclined to buy the first car you went to view just due to the car been cleaner. Well what's different with your home???? "90% of the nation are more inclined to book a viewing of a well-maintained home as they can’t see past the dirt."Get your home Buyer ready by increasing its kerb appeal and value with these essentials – 1. Clean Driveway
2. Clean PVCImagine going to look at house that’s white pvc is covered in green algae again it’s a massive put off and just give the impression of an unmaintained home. You need to give your home that inviting look. If you have pvc front door this is where the buyer will be standing and waiting for you or the estate agent to answer the door so the pvc being clean is an important factor.
Guttering that has debris and grass growing from them shows they have not been maintained for a few years this is not a good sign at all, remember it’s all about that first impression so make sure those gutters are cleared. 4. Clean Windows Make the room feel brighter Buyers look at windows to see if they need replacing its another expense they need to factor into their budget 5. Roof Cleaning Why not go that extra mile and really make your home stand out from your neighbours. When possible buyers are driving around looking for properties in the area you want yours to stand out from the crowd give your home that wow factor. Not a roof that is covered in moss that’s constantly falling from your roof onto your driveway and blocking up your guttering. A clean roof really does do the trick, you only need to take a look at the photos below to show the dramatic difference a roof clean can make to your home which is attractive to the eye and can help your home sell faster and for more money. Most buyers have made their mind up whether they like the house there viewing or not before they have even stepped in the front door. Many people overlook their homes exterior when selling a house and think its all about getting the interior in check but the work you have done inside the house, like having every room repainted and decorated to freshen your up home and having your carpets cleaned ect may be too late if they already have a negative feeling about the property from the exterior upon approaching. Having a full valet of your home will obviously encore some cost if you hire a professional company but it is guaranteed to give you a great ROI (return on investment) when it comes to trying to sell your home. If you have any further tips to increase your homes kerb appeal please feel free to comment below for these to be added to the list. Your Local Gutter Cleaners
All guttering is pitched towards the down pipe so the water is able to exit from the roofline, if there is anything in your gutters the water flow pulls the muck towards the down pipe as it should. If your gutters haven't been cleaned for a while the build up of muck can't always make it around the bends and clogs up causing a blockage which then causes problems.
The kind of problems seen in the photo above, this being one of the reasons it is advised to have you gutters cleaned at least once a year to keep them working as they should and not just waiting until there is a problem causing damage to your home.
With prices from just £25 its highly advised to have your guttering cleared at least once a year to avoid these kind of problems.
Visit our Wolverhampton Gutter Cleaning Page for more information or why not call us on - Tel: 01902 903709 Mobile: 07770 966332 We received a call from a customer over in Wombourne who had just moved into his new home and was tired of picking moss up every morning that had fallen from his roof onto his driveway and patio, so decided it was time to get the roof cleaned and moss removed. After receiving a couple of quotes and being told he would need to have the full house scaffolded which was over a £1000 alone just for the scaffolding, he came across our website and rang to ask for advice and a quotation. After visiting the property and carrying out a site survey/risk assessment it was clear the roof would be able to be cleaned without the need of scaffolding even though many other company's had tried telling the customer there was no other option. So straight away we were able to save the customer over a £1000 in a scaffolding bill as our team are trained in roof top access and safety enabling us to clean the roof via roofing ladders, harness's and fall arrest equipment safely. We talked the customer through the different options available to clean his roof which he decided a manual moss removal and softwash treatment was his preferred method, within a few days after our quotation was accepted and the job was booked in, we got to work.
So now all the moss has been removed it was a case of emptying all the guttering of moss, and clearing up the piles of moss that had fallen from the roof. Once all cleared up and the customer was happy with the moss removed we then got to work applying the softwash treatment ensuring all biofilm on the roof is killed and to prolong the regrowth of any moss, algae and lichens. It is important to hire a professional company when looking to have your drive or patio cleaned. Many people decide to give it a go themselves with their domestic pressure washers and soon realise that after spending a whole weekend out cleaning their drive or patio and nothing but a bad back to show for it, they are better off to call in a professional team of exterior cleaners. The difference in machinery plays a big part when achieving 5 star results, this is why we use a 21 litre per minute, 200 bar, 3000psi pressure washer which rips through most surface grime, stains, moss and weeds. No matter the surface type (block paving, tarmac, resin, concrete, cobbles or flagstones) or degree of soiling present, we have the skills, expertise and knowledge to restore your exteriors surface back to its former glory.

Live in Wolverhampton and need to clear your blocked drain? Get your drain unblocked today by JetOWash Ltd.
Today we were called out to a property in Wolverhampton that had a downstairs toilet starting to show signs of blockage as it was taking forever to flush away. The home owner had not long brought their home and were worried there was a problem with the drains, luckily they called us before the small problem became a major problem.
After a quick inspection, it was clear to see the problem was a blockage between the toilet waste pipe and the first manhole. Before resorting to our drain jetter we always like to rod the drains first which on this occasion seemed to be sufficient. After only a few minutes rodding with a 4-inch rubber plunger we were already starting to get a slight water flow and the toilet level was dropping.
So, after clearing away the build-up of babywipes and fully flushing any waste/debris, the drainage system was fully restored so that the water could flow.
With all wastepipes cleared and the toilet unblocked it was off to our next job for team JetOWash.

For more information regarding our Wolverhampton drain unblocking service why not visit our website – http://www.jetowash.com/wolverhampton-drain-unblocking.html Today team JetOWash were over in Wolverhampton carrying out a gutter repair.
We had a phone call from a distressed landlady who had a problem with her guttering on a rental property of hers in Wolverhampton, her tenant had been on the phone complaining about a leaking gutter which in turn had started to cause a damp patch on the wall and rot the wooden soffit board. Our client asked if we could visit the property to inspect the guttering and supply an urgent quotation, within a 1 1/2 hour turn around, we had one of our team over to inspect the leaking gutter which led to actually be a proportion of the down pipe had fallen off. This was due to a couple of reasons - one being the bad weather we have been having over the past few days in and around Wolverhampton and the second being an inadequate repair by a previous company which didn't help the problem. With the job needing a new running outlet, down pipe, 3 off set bends and new gutter brackets being fitted, Daniel one of team members who conducted the inspection was able to temporarily repair the down pipe until we were able to locate an exact match/size for this particular square line guttering.
A quick trip to our suppliers, we had all of the gutter supplies we needed to get this guttering back to doing its job correctly. First off it was a case of removing the broken guttering and fitting the new outlet.
Once the new outlet was fitted we double checked our measurements before having to cut the 65mm down pipe to the correct size for the down pipe to the hopper and also, we had to lengthen the adjustable offset top bends to achieve the right degree needed for the down pipe to fit securely and neatly (as pictured below)
So, with the top section of the guttering all fixed we were then able to fit the down pipe itself and the extension piece into the hopper to catch the water running from the guttering.
Finally, with this all-in place it was simply a case of drilling holes into the masonry to fit the gutter clips ensuring it was safe and secure to withstand all weather conditions.
Last but not least, once the gutters on this house in Wolverhampton were all fixed, we ran a water check to double check there were no issues on any of the bends which there wasn't, so we were happy our job was completed to a high standard as always. One thing we did notice was a very slight drip/leak from one of the inline joining brackets further along the run. Once we inspected the bracket it was a simple case of the rubber seal had perished, as a gesture of goodwill Daniel replaced the seal for the customer free of charge while we were there.
ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER FOR TEAM JETOWASH.

Gutter Cleaning in Albrighton, Wolverhampton. Today we tackled some very blocked gutters over in Albrighton, Wolverhampton. The customer rang the office and advised us that her gutters were overflowing and hadn't been emptied for years. Upon inspecting the guttering we could see that it was simply a case of them being full of moss that had fallen from the roof tiles. So we got to work and cleared all of the debris from the guttering using our gutter vacuum system, after the moss was removed it seemed that the offset bends were also blocked as the moss that lay in the gutters had been forced into the bend from the rain waters flow over the years which in result caused a blockage, this would have been the reason for the water overflowing from the top of the guttering as it has to go somewhere and wasn't able to flow down the down pipe as it should. Once we were 100% happy the offset bend and down pipe where clear, we then ran a water flow check to ensure there were no leaks from any of the joining brackets (If a gutter has a slight drip leaking it is normally due to the fact the rubber seals in the joining brackets have perished over the years of battling the UK weather) and the gutters flow was correct and wasn't back flowing on itself. So the gutters are now all clear from blockages and ready to do their job of removing the rain water from the roof without causing any structural damage to the property. We then simply took a few photos to show the customer that the gutters were now fully unblocked...
