Roof Cleaning WolverhamptonRecently we had the task of cleaning a natural slate roof over in Wolverhampton. We ran through the different options available with the customer and the customer then decided a low pressure steam clean was the best option to meet his needs. We have cleaned many roofs in Wolverhampton so the customer was able to see for him self locally some of our previous roof cleans we have undertaken which gave him great confidence he had chosen the right company to undertake the work on his properties roof. Before the roof cleaning was undertaken we fully explained to the customer the whole process from start to finish. This particular roof clean was completed without the need to step one foot on the roof. Even thought there were some tricky section to access we manage to safely steam clean the roof from our portable scaffolding tower using our telescopic steam cleaning pole and mini surface cleaner. As you can see in the video below we were able to remove all moss and algae using low pressure safely from scaffolding tower. Once the roof clean had been completed all guttering was then cleaned followed by a biocide treatment applied to the slate tiles via our soft wash system to prolong any organic growth on the tiles for many years to come. The team were over at a farm in Telford cleaning 960 solar panels using our water-fed pole systems and pure water to prevent water marks once dry. The photo below shows just a small section of one of the huge buildings.  Although these panels had only been installed just over 12 months they had never been cleaned. The owner of the farm had noticed a drop in there performance so new it was time for there first clean. Using our 35ft water fed pole systems and purified water it made cleaning the panels an easy task, we were able to reach all panels safely from the ground while still achieving great results as shown in the video below. The owner wasn't sure how often the panels should be cleaned, we advise solar panels to be cleaned annually to remove dust and other substances such as bird droppings that can build up over time and impact on the amount electricity generated by a module. After receiving a couple of quotes and being told he would need to have the full house scaffolded which was over a £1000 alone just for the scaffolding, he came across our website and rang to ask for advice and a quotation. After visiting the property and carrying out a site survey/risk assessment it was clear the roof would be able to be cleaned without the need of scaffolding even though many other company's had tried telling the customer there was no other option. So now all the moss has been removed it was a case of emptying all the guttering of moss, and clearing up the piles of moss that had fallen from the roof. Once all cleared up and the customer was happy with the moss removed we then got to work applying the softwash treatment ensuring all biofilm on the roof is killed and to prolong the regrowth of any moss, algae and lichens.
