Imprinted Concrete Driveway Clean And Seal In Cannock

​This week one of the team were over in Cannock restoring a driveway for a customer whose concrete imprinted driveway was in desperate need of attention. 

​As you can see from the photo in patches the sealant had completely worn away leaving the bare concrete showing.
 
The first step was to clean the driveway using our rotary floor cleaners cleaning the drive from the build-up over muck that had gathered over time in between the imprint. Once the clean had been completed it was a case of leaving the drive to dry out for a few days before we got to work applying the sealer.

A few days later we had had a couple of nice sunny dry days so the drive had fully dried so it was time for the team to get to work reviving the driveway for the customer. Due to the condition of the imprinted concrete and sealer a few coats of sealer along with a colour tint were needed to bring this back to its original colour. ​

First things first we cut in the edges using 4 inch brush to make sure all the edge is neat and tidy before getting to work apply the first coat. Once the cutting is was complete we applied the drive’s first coat of sealer with a very small amount of slate grey colour tint and left this for approximately an hour to really penetrate into the concrete. Once the first coated had pretty much dried we started building the colour up by apply slightly more tint in the sealer and applying multiple coats. 

The customers had stated that once the driveway was wet it become very slippery, so on the finally coat we applied an anti-slip additive into the sealer to prevent the driveway become slippery once wet. 

As you can see from the photos the drive looks as good as new and the customer could not believe the results we achieved.
